A surface finish is simply how the ring's surface is worked — whether it's hammered, faceted, or polished like a mirror. That alone changes how the ring catches light and how everyday scratches show. At Neu Spur, skilled artisans finish each one by hand.

If you'll keep it on through work and chores, Vintage, Moon and Tree hide scratches well for peace of mind. The more your hands move, the deeper the character grows.
To brighten the fingertips, choose Normal (mirror). For a quietly refined look, Moon. To choose by character and story, Vintage, Tree or Stone.
Even with the same design, the two of you can choose different finishes — one Normal, one Vintage. That's one way to enjoy a pair.
Most models support all six finishes, but Ilka offers only 2 (Vintage and Normal), and Ehren and Flügel offer 5 (all except Moon). Please check each ring's detail page.
